Careful What You Say

My son was standing on top of his Bible today and so I said to him, "You do not stand on the Word of God!"  Then I realized what I said, and add, " . . . well, not physically anyway."  Hope that clears it up!

Answer Questions Carefully

If you child asks you what he can do with his stickers, don't say, "Whatever you want." No matter how busy you are or how fed up you are with 101 th question he has asked that day. Well, he did put them very neatly on the door, I will say that. And he is right, I did say do whatever he wanted with them.

Jesus Walks on Water

As usual, we asked our son what he learned in church. He replied, "Jesus was on a pirate ship and then He walked on water." Hummmm. At least he gave an effort this time and did not give his patented "God loves me" answer. Thank goodness the crafts give me a clue.

What Kids Say When You Are Sick

I love when you are throwing up in the kitchen sink and one of your kids asks you for their computer time. Do I look like a person that can go turn on the computer right now? Or the 3 year old asks, "What are you doing Mom?"

It is also cute when you are bend over the sink yet again, coughing your lungs out, and your little guy comes up and hugs you on the legs. Or your 8 year old comes up to you and rubs your back. Children are a blessing even when you are sick! Their cute faces and hugs cheer me up!

Glasses

This morning I reminded my daughter to put her glasses on. She asked me, "Mom, what will happen if I don't wear my glasses." I told her bluntly, "You would go blind in one eye, " which is really what would happen to her. She stated, "Well, one eye isn't too bad."
Ms. G looks beautiful with her glasses on, I just wish she would believe it too. I guess she is pretty desperate to get rid of those glasses.

Kid Logic

Mr. Z loves the Berenstain Bear series. Yesterday he told me he wanted the book"Berenstain Bears Get Hit by a Car." Considering all the titles they have, I could see why he would think they would have a book by that name.
